Works with your phone

The Thinkdiag Mini has no screen of its own, and that is the point. It connects to a free companion app on your smartphone, so you get a large display, a familiar interface and a device that costs nothing extra.

The app handles reading and clearing codes, live data streams, and the additional service functions. Reports can be saved and shared, which is useful if you are diagnosing a car for someone else.

Getting started

1. Install the companion app on your phone
2. Plug the Thinkdiag Mini into the vehicle's OBD2 port, usually under the dashboard on the driver's side
3. Turn the ignition on
4. Pair the tool with your phone in the app
5. Let it read the VIN, then start the scan

Who it's for

If you maintain your own vehicles and want to know what a warning light actually means before visiting a garage, this pays for itself the first time you use it.

If you run a workshop diagnosing several makes a day, look at the Launch CRP919E BT or X431 PRO ELITE instead. Those add bi-directional control, key programming and the service functions a professional needs. The Thinkdiag Mini reads and clears; it is not built to command components.
